About Us
~
Company with a conscience
The environment is important to us, so we believe in generating
as little waste as possible in all that we do. Our efficient cutting
and stitching methods, along with precise printing, eliminate
fabric waste. All of our standard sizes are designed to have no
fabric waste. We recycle all our office paper and cardboard, cans
and bottles, and re-use one-sided office paper, which is bound
into note pads. And, of course, we re-use our Enviro-Tote bags
when we shop!
A history of recycling
Enviro-Tote began operations in Manchester's historic Millyard
and purchased stitching equipment from garment giant Pandora,
which was going out of business after providing decades of work
to local stitchers. In addition to recycling Pandora's stitching
machines, we also hired Pandora stitchers, most are still with
our company today.
Value of working together
We value our employees and their work, as evidenced by our affiliation
with the Fair Labor Association as a Category C licensee. Since
1990, we have grown from 12 to 40 employees, many who have been
with us since the beginning. As a family-owned business, we understand
the importance of working well together. This harmony and attention
to detail is seen in every bag we make.
